The next stage will show how you can reduce your power bills by using power at different times of the day and model how your bills change if you swap your hot water system or cooktop, add solar or batteries or decide to drive an electric car. Imagine a similar functionality like "Energy Made Easy" but with an ability to see what that means if the year ahead is not a repeat of the last 12 months - and all that without another paid subscription.

We consider making all calculation models available as open source to grow this into a community project. Please reach out if you are interested to contribute.

Wattif Energy is a passion project, built on a 2025 university assessment and updated in August 2026. What you see here is the starting point of the tariff comparison engine - we yet have to include retailer discounts. So this is very much a beta, please do not rely on the results for real decisions. If you try it, tell us where the numbers match or differ from your actual bills — since power bills are surprisingly complicated your feedback will help us to get to the real thing.
